Career path RBISummary: This entry level position will source and build new relationships with prospective brokers nationwide for Medicare Supplements, Indemnity Products, and Medicare Advantage Plans. As a member of our team you will prospect, screen and contract new brokers, develop reports on key metrics and maintain positive working relationships with applicable carrier employees and vendors. This position is ideal for someone looking to enter the Health Insurance industry and one day become a broker themselves.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and distribute recruiting and sales collateral for independent Brokers
  • Follow-up regularly with potential broker and recruiting opportunities
  • Generate new business leads and opportunities through cold calling ideal candidates and presenting our value proposition to inbound prospects
  • Meet or exceed recruiting goals and administer sales strategies for independent agents and sales coordinators that together will achieve the organizational goals
  • Review, measure and report on contributing revenue of individual brokers
  • Assist with assessing the quality of agents’ potential and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with identifying learning and development needs and distributing materials designed to improve agents’ sales performance
  • Ensure compliance with reporting functions by agents
  • Maintain positive relationships with key regional and local carrier employees and vendors

  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Possess strong verbal, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Possess excellent recruiting and negotiation skills always using diplomacy and tact
  • Engage effectively with professionals at all levels of the organization and associated partners
  • Organize work, prioritize, and delegate to meet deadlines, and make timely decisions with sound judgment

Required Education and skills:

  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Professional sales, recruiting or customer service experience preferred
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Remain in good standing with the Arizona Department of Insurance (current license not required)
